David Woods, who served CNB for eight years, most recently as Senior Vice President, Chief Loan Officer, retires on May 28, 2026.

After eight years of dedicated service to Citizens National Bank (CNB) and 40 years in banking, David Woods will retire on May 28, 2026, concluding a respected career in lending and leaving behind a strong legacy of relationship-driven leadership.

Woods joined CNB in 2018 as the Senior Vice President & Senior Loan Officer. In 2020, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Loan Officer in recognition of his leadership, lending expertise, and significant contributions to the growth and strength of the bank’s lending and cash management operations.

“Dave’s impact on CNB is reflected in the teams he has developed and the trust his teammates place in him,” said Matthew Keene, President & CEO of CNB. “He is widely respected in the banking industry and the communities he has served. We are grateful for his leadership and commitment, and we wish Dave and his family all the best in retirement.”

Woods has lived and worked in Northern Michigan for more than 30 years, building strong connections throughout the region both professionally and personally. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club and his church, and has dedicated time to supporting youth development through coaching baseball and hockey. Woods has also volunteered with Junior Achievement and has shared his financial expertise by teaching personal finance to young people, following a Dave Ramsey-style approach focused on practical money management and financial responsibility.

In retirement, Woods looks forward to spending more time with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying all that Northern Michigan has to offer.

“It has been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team and to serve our customers and communities,” Woods said. “I am grateful for my time at CNB, and the relationships built along the way.”
