Rick Tromble, owner of Tromble Bay Farms, has stepped down as Chairman of the Board; however, he remains a Director on the Citizens National Bank (CNB) Board of Directors. The Board unanimously elected Dana F. Andrews, President of Sturgeon River Pottery, Inc., as the new Chairman, effective immediately.
To further enhance its governance and strategic oversight, while providing a succession plan, the Board also created a new position, the Vice Chairman, and unanimously elected Scott Landon, President of Landon Auto Parts, as the first person to hold this position.
“On behalf of the entire Board and leadership team, I want to express our sincere appreciation to Rick for his exceptional leadership and service as Chairman,” said Matthew Keene, CNB President and CEO. “His steady guidance, strategic insight, and deep commitment to CNB have been invaluable during a pivotal period in our growth.”
Tromble has served on the CNB Board of Directors for 13 years and has served as the Chairman for nearly five years.
“Rick acknowledges that he is in his final term on the CNB Board,” Keene said. “Retiring as Chairman allows him to be a guide for Dana as the next Chairman.
“Rick’s commitment to mentoring and providing leadership continuity speaks volumes about his dedication to the long-term success of the bank,” Keene said. “While he steps back from the Chairman role, we are fortunate to continue benefiting from his wisdom and experience as a valued member of the Board.”
Andrews has been the President of Sturgeon River Pottery for 14 years and has served on CNB’s Board for five years. He brings a broad range of experience in numerous leadership, financial, and strategic consulting positions. His skills and experience will be effective in supporting the development and direction of CNB. He has served on numerous boards and currently serves as President of the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dana as the new Chairman of the Board,” Keene said. “He is a natural fit for the Chairman role. His understanding of the nuances and seasonality of Northern Michigan businesses is a critical insight not only for CNB itself, but also for our business and consumer customers. We are confident that under his chairmanship, the Board will continue its strong governance stance and drive to strategically grow for the benefit of CNB’s customers, shareholders, and communities.”
Landon has worked at Landon Auto Parts Inc./CARQUEST for 33 years, 13 as President. He has effectively managed six Northern Michigan locations – including four auto parts stores, one auto parts and hardware location, and a lumberyard – while also being involved in Cheboygan Youth Tackle Football. For many years, he was an active council member of the CARQUEST Auto Parts Independent Advisory Council based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. He has served on CNB’s Board for five years.
“We’re excited to welcome Scott as our first-ever Vice Chairman – a role created to further strengthen our Board’s governance stance and strategic capacity. His insight, experience, and collaborative spirit make him the ideal person to help guide CNB forward during this important time of growth and innovation."
