Primary Function: Create and maintain close relationships with all parties involved in business transactions. Facilitate sales through the structuring of creative and appealing loan products. Work with other areas of the bank, including, but not limited to, cash management, consumer banking, residential banking and merchant banking to expand and deepen customer relationships. Assist in the training and development of lending staff, provide feedback on process improvements.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and retain existing business relationships, including renewing loans prior to maturity.
- Develop and initiate a formal calling program for both existing and prospective business customers.
- Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines repayment methods and collateral specifications.
- Provide referral opportunities to other areas of the bank. Be familiar with all bank products to be sufficiently capable of cross-selling other bank products.
- Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management.
- Maintain customer credit files, including the timely receipt of financial information and customer call reports.
- Work with and be familiar with various loan/financing programs available to assist business customers.
- Ensure portfolio risk is accurately documented and conveyed to bank management and/or board of directors.
- Interact with less experienced banking personnel to enhance overall bank performance.
- Represents the financial institution to the community through good customer relations, participating in local and surrounding community events.
- Participates in activities for generating new business, such as sales calls and special events.
- Provide feedback to management on activities and identify opportunities in targeted areas.
- Promote and enhance the corporate culture and foster the development and implementation of organizational vision, policies and guidelines.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures, including Citizens National Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Policy and procedures, and its Customer Identification Program.
- Maintain regular consistent attendance, personal appearance, punctuality and adherence to applicable health and safety procedures.
- Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
- Identifying competitive opportunities and provides management input accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to interact fluently with business owners and business community

- Ability to handle multiple priorities and produce results
- Creative/innovative problem solver
- Working knowledge of all depository and cash management services.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field
- Seven to Ten years (suggested) work experience in the banking or financial industry
- Strong understanding and experience in commercial credit
- Extensive knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures
