Location: Cheboygan, Main branch, with access to offices throughout our branch system for client & staff meetings.
Primary Function: Build, oversee and manage the Merchant Services portion of CNB Cash Management Department in accordance with the bank’s objectives; responsible for identifying, retaining, analyzing, selling and support of Merchant products and services to established business customers, as well as prospective new clients. Develop an effective, efficient, and profitable Merchant book of business. Refer business to other areas of the bank, including depository, cash management, loans and investment services.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work to ensure seamless onboarding of new Merchant business customers.
- Review customer lists, and profile existing customers to determine who could benefit from CNB Merchant Services.
- Maintain accurate prospect and customer databases and call report.
- Assist CNB’s Merchant Service providers with the presentation of proposals, onboarding of new customers, and servicing of existing customers.
- Work collaboratively with VP-Retail Banking to ensure sufficient, ongoing Merchant Service training for frontline staff.
- Work with Business Bankers to educate them on Merchant Services, as well as onboard their clients to CNB Merchant Services.
- Work as a team with all members of Cash Management Department to ensure onboarding of new businesses.
- Complete annual Vendor Management for Merchant Service companies used by CNB.
- Cross sell other bank services, including loans, depository, cash management and investment services.
- Attend networking community functions and be involved/volunteer with group and or events to generate new business.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures, including specifically Citizens National Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Policy and procedures, and its Customer Identification Program.
- Maintain regular consistent attendance, personal appearance, punctuality and adherence to applicable health and safety procedures.
- Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- The bank will train qualified candidates for the position.
Education and Experience Required:
- Sales background in retail services.
- Three to four years’ retail banking experience or applicable job experience
- Minimum three years of experience providing customer service
