Citizens National Bank (CNB) is proud to announce that Matthew Keene, President and CEO, has been elected to serve as the Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) Chairman for the 2026–2027 term, beginning June 2026 and concluding June 2027.
Keene’s appointment reflects his long-standing commitment to strengthening Michigan’s banking landscape and supporting the communities that rely on local financial institutions. With more than three decades of experience in community banking, Keene has been a vocal advocate for policies and initiatives that promote economic resilience, financial inclusion, and sustainable growth across Michigan.
The Michigan Bankers Association represents financial institutions throughout the state, providing leadership, industry collaboration, and advocacy on behalf of Michigan’s banking community. As Chairman, Keene will help guide statewide initiatives, support member banks, and champion efforts that reinforce the vital role community banks play in Michigan’s economic health.
