About Us
Citizens National Bank is a full-service, independent community bank
serving six locations in lower northern Michigan; Cheboygan, Onaway,
Mackinaw City, Pellston, Indian River and Alanson. We are the largest,
locally- owned bank in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan.
On January 24, 1931 the bank received its charter from the federal Comptroller of the Currency and is entirely owned by the CNB Corporation. Since that time, CNB has served the people and the communities of Cheboygan and over time added five branch locations; Onaway, Mackinaw City, Pellston, Indian River and in 2005 Alanson.
Citizens National Bank is in the same location as when it originally opened doors in Cheboygan. However through the years the bank has purchased surrounding buildings both to the north and west and incorporated them into the existing structure which continues to house the main office.
