Our greatest resource is the people we employ. The Bank will maintain a work environment in which performance and service are recognized and rewarded. We will maintain a competitive edge through a corporate culture dedicated to customer service. Above all else, we require that our staff and directors adhere to high ethical standards in discharging their responsibilities.
As an independent community Bank, we will foster economic vitality and civic well being in our communities. A strong community is a prerequisite to a strong Bank. We believe that as an independent Bank we best serve our customers, communities, and shareholders. It is our intention to maintain the independence of Citizens National Bank of Cheboygan.
Citizens National Bank is a full-service, independent community bank serving six locations in lower northern Michigan; Cheboygan, Onaway, Mackinaw City, Pellston, Indian River and Alanson. We are the largest, locally- owned bank in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan.
On January 24, 1931 the bank received its charter from the federal Comptroller of the Currency and is entirely owned by the CNB Corporation. Since that time, CNB has served the people and the communities of Cheboygan and over time added five branch locations; Onaway, Mackinaw City, Pellston, Indian River and in 2005 Alanson.
Citizens National Bank is in the same location as when it originally opened doors in Cheboygan. However through the years the bank has purchased surrounding buildings both to the north and west and incorporated them into the existing structure which continues to house the main office.
Citizens National Bank is proud to be affiliated with the following Banking Associations.
